Colombia, Japan, Poland, Senegal
Colombia played some impressive football four years ago in Brazil, but their stars are that much older and are playing far from home. South American countries usually fare poorly in Europe (and vice-versa) and Colombia look nowhere near their best. Meanwhile, the Japanese are renown for their discipline on the pitch, but I don’t expect them to survive what many have dubbed this tournament’s, “Group of Death.” (Although Group F could also carry that title as well to be fair.) While many have Poland going home early – I’m hesitant to join that group as they have two quality strikers in Arkadiusz Milik, and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, as well as midfielder Piotr Zielinski of Napoli. Senegal are also not without their stars as a multitude of their footballers play in the Premier League, including Liverpool ace Sadio Mane. Senegal shocked the world when they beat France in the group stage of World Cup 2002, and I expect them to continue in that nature this time around. Senegal 1st and Poland 2nd.
